HIMF re-emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic with this special concert featuring Kauai’s very own celebrated pianist MONICA CHUNG and HIMF Co-Founder and internationally acclaimed Metropolitan Opera Soprano AMY SHOREMOUNT-OBRA performing songs of Debussy, Wagner, Dvorák and Obradors. The concert will also feature the acclaimed MANA MUSIC QUARTET. On March 15, 2020, the Mana Music String Quartet played together for the very first time marking the beginning of a journey through the pandemic that culminated with a debut album that has received several 2021 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations. The quartet features HIMF Co-Founder and Internationally Acclaimed Virtuoso Violinist ERIC SILBERGER, Distinguished Violinist DR. MANN-WEN LO, Hawaii Symphony Cellist JOSHUA NAKAZAWA, and Honolulu’s own Violist DUANE PADILLA. The quartet will perform arrangements of Queen Lili’uokalani’s compositions, which are featured on their debut album.
