Darryl Miyasato

Jazz Bassist

 

Born and raised on Kauai, Darryl Miyasato is an accomplished musician, teacher and performer. Darryl earned a Master of Music degree in Orchestral Performance at the Manhattan School of Music and a teaching degree from Eastern Washington University. He was Principal 

Bassist of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, conductor of the Spokane Falls Community College Symphony Orchestra and instructor of music theory and double bass. As a jazz musician, Darryl has played with Ernestine Anderson, Donald Vega, Martin Denny, Gabe Baltazar, 

and many others. Since 2005 Daryll has been a music teacher at Kauai High School instructing band, jazz ensemble, marching band, and ‘ukulele classes.
