Rebekah Strohmyer

Soprano

 

 

Rebekah Strohmyer (Soprano) is excited to be a part of the 2026 Hawai’i International Music Festival, as well as recipient of a full scholarship for “The Garcia School” vocal workshop. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Bek received her B.S. in vocal performance and B.A. in English literature from Hofstra University on Long Island, New York. She is currently pursuing her M.M. in vocal performance from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College, studying under professor Amy Shoremount-Obra. At school she participates in a variety of ensembles including the ConTempo New Music ensemble, Conservatory Singers, and Opera Scenes. She has previously performed the roles of Mozart’s Vitellia from La clemenza di Tito and Fiordiligi from Cosi fan tutte, as well as chorus in Massenet’s Cendrillon. Very passionate about choir and collaborative performance, Bek has participated in choral organizations such as the Dessoff Choirs, the Brooklyn Treble Choir, and the eVoco Voice Collective, additionally performing as soloist with the Queer Urban Orchestra in collaboration with BKTreble. Bek would like to thank her family, friends, teachers, and Larry for their constant support.
