Nicole Ikeda Cossi

Soprano

 

 

Soprano Nicole Ikeda Cossi, from Honolulu, HI, is pursuing her Master of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where she studies with mezzo-soprano Dr. Maya Sypert and serves as a graduate assistant for the choral and voice areas. She recently appeared as a soprano soloist with the Hawaiʻi Vocal Arts Ensemble and the UH Chamber Singers.

Nikki graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music with a B.A. in Music in 2023. Solo highlights include performances of Fauré’s Requiem and Schubert’s Mass in G. She earned first place in the NATS California Capital Chapter Competition (2019).

She has performed extensively in musical theatre and opera scenes, and her full-production credits include the chorus of La Bohème with Hawaiʻi Opera Theatre, the ensemble of Brigadoon with Pacific Opera Theatre, and the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods with ʻOhana Arts.

Drawn to art song, chamber music, and sacred music, Nicole values text-centered, collaborative performance and is committed to refining her craft and developing her artistry through continual study.
