Kylie Carter

Soprano

 

 

Kylie Carter is a soprano and a senior undergraduate in vocal performance and biology dual degree student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She focuses her studies on singing opera, art song, and jazz. Most recently, she has performed with the UMBC Jazz ensemble featuring works by Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie as well as performing with a chamber ensemble featuring Noél by Clemence de Grandval. In the past, she has performed with the Maryland Opera in Friday at Boordy Vineyards three times and as Hansel (Hansel and Gretel) for Sound of the Season, with Varna International as Ida (Die Fledermaus) and Vicki (Grand Night for Singing), with UMBC Opera as Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutti abridged) and Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), various Honors Showcase performances with UMBC, and for Opera Night at Trattoria da Franco. Outside of these performances, she is also a member and frequent soloist for the First Lutheran Evangelical Church in Ellicott City Choir and a member of their bell choir.
